Ozothamnus
(Early Pink Riceflower, White Riceflower, Late Pink Riceflower)
Versatility
is the keyword when it comes to Riceflower. Large, impressive heads of
multiple clusters of beads occur at the head and sides of the stems. The
stems support small, needle-like, dark green leaves.
The
magnificent heads can be used with equal ease in both the fresh and dried
bouquet. They bloom from late fall through early spring in natural whites
and pinks. This flower can also be dip-dyed to any color of choice.
The
photograph above shows the white riceflower. All of these varieties are
available in plant form.
